I haven't been uploading many photographs recently, but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy working on my images.
In December I tried out printing some of my favourite photographs of the year in a book using Blurb. I had used the Apple photobook service a few years ago, but although the results were very good they were also very expensive. However quite a few people on Flickr had recommended Blurb's services, so I thought I would give them a go.
I was quite pleased with the results, so I've started work on my next project a collection of some of my best cosplay photographs from the last few years. One thing I have learned from my first book is that although there are lots of templates available when composing a page, to truly get the page layout you want, the best bet is to design it in Photoshop and then upload it as a single image. The disadvantage is this process takes a lot of time.
This image is my current cover design, but as I've changed it several times already I doubt this will end up as the final image.
The book isn't something I intend to sell, its just something I wanted to create. Although I take a lot of photographs I seldom print them, but I would like a collection of books of my pictures.
